What the note of 2 October says
The official Comunidad de Madrid page refers to a decision of 2 October 2026 that halves procedural deadlines at the documentation stage of programmes 3 and 4. The note exempts deadlines for submitting appeals. It concerns cases for building renovation and home energy-efficiency improvements; it does not announce a new funding round. Nor should it be interpreted as a general reduction in the timeframe for carrying out any building work.
The housing programme had already ended
For context, the BOCM of 28 July published the order of 14 July 2026 declaring programme 4 of this funding round closed and rejecting applications that had not received a favourable decision. Information about the documentation stage therefore does not mean that grant applications have reopened. If you already have a case, check its decision and any communications you have received before deciding on your next step.
How to organise an existing case
As practical preparation, find the case number, grant decision, notifications and the person managing the documentation. Gather the invoices, proof of payment and technical documents you have, and check them against the requirements for your case. This list helps organise your enquiry; it does not replace the administration's instructions. Ask the administrator or responsible body which procedure is outstanding and the specific deadline notified to you.
What to consider when preparing another renovation
If you are starting a new renovation, first define the work and request proposals with the same scope. Separate the cost of the work from any funding that is not yet confirmed. News about an earlier programme does not mean a grant has been awarded for your home. Constructores.com facilitates contact with companies to assess the work; grant eligibility and processing must be checked separately with the competent administration.
Shape the renovation you imagine.
Explain what you want to change, the approximate floor area and municipality. We help you find renovation companies so you can compare proposals with a clear scope.
