Document review
When registering a construction company, we request the signed contract, the REA certificate where legally required and the civil liability insurance documents specified for the collaboration. We review the documents provided and record their status; the company must keep them current and report any changes. This review does not certify the quality of the work or guarantee coverage for a particular claim.
Allocation criteria
We look for companies that have indicated they work in your area and undertake the type of work you are requesting. Availability depends on each company and the planned dates.
Your request is forwarded to a maximum of three construction companies. Receiving a request does not imply a recommendation or a guarantee of the company or its work.
Direct contact and contracting
Companies may contact you to assess the work and prepare a proposal, subject to their availability. You decide whom to hire.
The contract, invoices, payments and conditions for performing the works are agreed with the chosen company. Constructores.com does not carry out, direct or supervise the works.
What to ask for before signing
Request a written quote that identifies the company and details the work, materials, taxes, exclusions and timescales. Compare proposals with the same scope.
Keep the contract, quotes, invoices and communications. If an issue arises with the works, contact the company you contracted.
- Company identity and references for comparable work.
- Measurements, materials and exclusions.
- Schedule, payment milestones and warranties in writing.
